This is a little video showing her fixation with water. She is just obsessed with sitting in or on the side of the wash basin in the bathroom and drinking and playing with the running water. She jumps into the basin at least 5 times a day squealing for me to run the tap!
I confess I have another video I filmed in portrait but it will only show it landscape and try as I might I can't rotate it, so whilst I watched it with my head on one side I won't subject anyone else to that!
I think the 'herd of wild elephants' clonking noise that appear about 2.30 mins in is my OH walking up the wooden stairs! If the video screen looks black just click on the arrow at the bottom left to start.
She's been outside the last few afternoons finally learning to explore the garden and has met the chickens, ducks and a squirrel, and had a walk around beside the lake now! Everything is all new and exciting, if a bit scary at times.
Here are a few photos - I must admit I had not realised how dust shows up on black cats and she always ends up with cobwebs and stuff on her from her exploring. Photos seem to make her look like she's really dandruffy too! It's not fair, because she has a really lovely sleek shiny black coat!
Her collar is looking really tatty already so time to get a new one for her!
So cute, she has beautiful eyes! Mine would run a mile if you turned a tap on that close to them!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Hannah! I don't know where this liking of water came from and it's a bit of a nuisance especially when I want to brush my teeth, but she's so funny I don't have the heart to discourage her! :-)
DeleteNow I know how to do to upload videos, I use You Tube and then I write the HTML code
ReplyDeleteYour cat has a very long tail.
:)
She does not need a stool, nor a bowl
Hi Cergie - I've never used You Tube and previously I was able to upload direct to blogger from my hard disk, but this time it just kept giving me an error message :-(
DeleteShe can jump straight into the basin from the floor, or from the side of the bath. We keep her out of the kitchen sink by turning the plastic bowl upside down or else she would be playing there too!
Love that little video! Alan and I have just been laughing while watching it.
ReplyDeleteEspecially when the tap is turned off and Hallie tries to work out how to turn it on again. What a character she is.
Philippa
Hi Philippa and thanks - glad you and Alan had a laugh! She has us in stitches sometimes. Now she's got a bit bored of the bathroom basin and is now doing the same thing in the cellar sink (not lying in it) but sitting squealing on the edge waiting for me to turn the tap on! And suddenly it is not so fun to play attack my toes from on top of the duvet, she's now burrowing under the duvet, especially when I am trying to make the bed. This morning she appeared from under it with one of her toys!!!
