Caturday extravaganza

It's #caturday in the social networking world, and I've been collecting kitty photos to share for a while. So now is as good as any to post them. Sit down, get yourself a nice cup of tea as there are lots of photos. But not much text so breath a huge sigh of relief! :-)

Harry looking quite normal for a change.

Manic tree hugging again.

He loves climbing trees but actually isn't very good at it!

Bertie doesn't pose very often and is less loony outside than his brother.
But makes up for it indoors
.

"I love you, Mummy".

And then the moment was over.

Harry spilling out of the small basket.

He can just about fit in it.

He looks, and is, angelic when he is asleep.

Some blurred shots are worth keeping.

The boys up a tree together for a change.

Harry plots to kill.

"You daft bugger."

You may be wondering where the black cat is, well for one, they are notoriously difficult to photograph, and two, Miss Hallie rules the roost and doesn't deign to have her photo taken like ordinary, common cats. It's only on her terms.

"I ordered tea 10 minutes ago, now where is it?"

"OK I'll give you 5 secs to take a photo of me, then......"

"Raaaaaaaaaaa!"

Occasionally I can sneak up and zoom in without her noticing.

She wouldn't be seen dead mucking about the way Harry does.

Wheeeee!

New technology, old technology.

And Harry.

Sitting around became too tiring so he lay down for a nap.

Bertie oblivious to the fact that the blankies had slid off the back of the chair with him on them.

A phone shot, using flash, but it didn't come out very well.
What I saw when I woke up a couple of mornings ago!

I'm going to get killed for posting this next one!! My Cybershot made a good job of it - what I saw when I got up for a pee in the middle of the night!

Not a one of them woke up!

Happy Caturday! xx

  1. Lovely cat photos Mandy, they look so healthy and playful.

Love the last photo, K with his knee out getting cold to accommodate the cat!

    1. Thanks Philippa! I often have them in my armpit and sometimes in the middle of the night wear a black fur hat (strange but quite comforting) - I tried to get a selfie of that the other night but the forward camera doesn't have flash which is a shame. Maybe I can try the other way round with the phone but I'm not very used to it yet. xx

Wish I'd known about caturday - I could've downed the internet with my lot ;)

(ps - glad to see it's not just us... I'm regularly pinned into bed by a couple of felines, and also being pushed out by baby!!)

    1. Congrats on the new baby, Sara. I'm out of touch - it's been quite a few years since we met on Ish! :-) You must be very busy with kids, chickens, veggies.... and cats 'helping'! :-) And yes, Harry does have an amazing character - they all do but Harry is the strangest!

    2. Thanks lovely! Yes it has been a while since we first 'met' - my eldest was only a year old and now he's nearly 8!! I miss Ish, wish it was the same as before...
We're busy but we love it :) xx

    3. Really pleased that all's going well for you, and I agree about the Ish forum, but we've moved on these days to things like Facebook, I guess.

    1. Thanks Juliet! We are cat not dog people although I had both when I was growing up. I think cats are easier as you can leave them alone all day as they have the cat flap to come and go by. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos and I'll try to get more - helps when the weather gets better though (dismal grey here).

    1. Thanks RR and glad you enjoyed them. I asked my OH what he thought and first he pretended to be annoyed "how dare you take photos up my nostrils" then laughed and said they were quite funny! :-)

    1. Noooo, but I just happened to have my little pocket camera in the bedroom at that time, and now I'm taking my phone to bed - not for calls, just for the camera.... Lol! :-)

    1. Thank you Amanda. It can be a bit boisterous with three young cats, but I couldn't imagine living without cats! :-)

    1. Thanks Deb. Yup, cats are such funny creatures and very predictable too. Came in from gardening the other day and might have guessed, all three snuggled up asleep in front of the fire..... amazing what a difference a woodburner makes to a cat's life, as they don't care for the baskets at all when the ch is on! xx
